Wassuppp RedeemedNation 🗣🗣🗣

I know by the topic you guys must be wondering what I'm up to. Well, I'm up to no good lol. Just joking... I just felt led to do a blog on sex and the church. It's been an avoided topic for years or if ministers talk about it, it more so comes off as a rebuke or a death sentence. Before I continue, please subscribe to my email list so you can be updated when there is a new blog post. Okay, brace yourselves lol.

Sex and the church; single, saved, and horny. 🤭 Oops, I said the H-word. I bet a religious person was mad just now 🤣. Oh well, don't leave this post, it might just help you. I'm really here for my single folks (those dating and married you can stay too lol). I'm here for those who have found themselves struggling with sexual desires, and you feel as though you can't turn to a youth leader or someone to help you without them making you feel bad about yourself.

Firstly, I want to say you are human, and humans have feelings. Feeling horny is natural. "DiD i JuSt SaY tHaT? How dare me!" 🙄 Thank you Prophet Shambrae Robb. I really wish they taught us that. I've heard many stories from friends and even strangers of how when they approached someone for help, the first thing they tell them is when you feel like that, take a cold shower... Like ma'am/sir, what will a cold shower do? Make 👏 it 👏 make 👏 sense 👏, please! Instead of talking with the person, keeping them accountable, and giving them strategies on how to not fall prey to their lustful desires, you're gonna tell them to take a cold shower? Is this supposed to help them? Because from the stories I heard, it never did.

I want to share my strategies on what I do to keep myself pure before God. Having your virginity and abstaining from sex is really a small portion of what holiness is. Holiness is a lifestyle and it is not subject to one area of your life.

1. I'm a romantic type of person. I love romance movies and fairy tale endings. So much that there was a time God said, "nope no more romantic movies", and I was like, "why?" But you see, God was just protecting me. Weird, right? However, I believed it helped save me. Your eyes are gateways to your soul. What you allow your eyes to stray into has legal access to your soul. Not every movie or show is allowed for us to watch. It's merely the truth, it's your personal conviction and knowing right from wrong. It's in our soul we struggle, but we're gonna overcome! (Say "I'm gonna overcome!")

2. What are you meditating on? What songs are you listening to? Meditation matters because you're aligning your soul, mind, and heart to dwell upon a thing. "Alexa, play Trey Songz - Slow Motion", lol. You can't be a single Christian and all you listen to are songs full of sexual innuendos. What do you think you're gonna think about? If you are strong enough to listen to any music and don't feel any type of way, that is totally fine. Good for you! But for those who are struggling with lust and sexual desires, ISSA NO NO! Until you're delivered and set free, turn up "Keep me true Lord Jesus, keep me true" or whatever that lady said 😅. Also, watch your conversations, sexting is a sin too. Do your conversations edify your body and or do it defile?

3. Having accountability goes a long way. You need friends you can reach out to and say HELP ME; without it feeling weird or off. Friends who will keep you covered and protected. Friends who will stand with you.

4. Last but not least, 🗣 you have to be transparent. Recognize that you are struggling and you want help. Don't sit in your struggle and suffer. Help is made available from God through his son, Jesus.

I feel it strongly for those who have fallen into sin with masturbation, fornication, and pornography over these past few months due to you being quarantined. You feel as though God is angry at you and you feel like an outcast because of your struggle. But God! He sent me to help pull your mind out of condemnation! Jesus loves you and there's nothing you could do to stop Him from loving you. This love is a FOREVER type of LOVE. Now, masturbation, fornication and pornography are wrong. The Bible deems them wrong, as they go against God's true intent for you. God doesn't want you to live a life bounded by these sins. He died so you could be free!!! If you feel as though you will always go off into watching pornography, spend less time on your phone or on any device. Find a book to read, play a sermon, something that will help you not fall prey. If you know when you're alone you want to masturbate, be around your family and/or friends. When you feel horny, reach out to someone to pray with you. I feel teary.... There is someone who has really been struggling and you think you can't come out, but I prophesy you're coming out victorious and with a testimony! You are not your struggle!!! Let me say it again. You are not your struggle! You will not succumb to it in Jesus' Name, Amen. If you know going over John-Paul or Mary-Jane's house will let you sin, (in my Jamaican accent) "TAN AH YUH YARD" and translated for my international peeps, "STAY HOME". It's not worth it baby. It's not worth you feeling guilty. If he/she won't protect you and honor you in the wait, sis/bro grab your track shoes and run! 🗣🗣 RUN FOREST RUNNNN! AND DON'T LOOK BACK! AMEN‼️

Ministers who will come across this blog post, please do better. I beg! What we, young people, desire is transparency. There's no way throughout your Christian journey you've been perfect, so please don't expect us to be. Don't compare your journey with ours. We live in "modern days" now 💀. There are so many things being thrown our way that if we are not covered we will fall prey. Instead of shutting us out, help us!

To those in waiting, our wait will not be in vain! God will honor us and he will reward us. Continue to be an example ❤️.

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. 2 Timothy 2:22 (NLT)
